Certified UPF 50+
UPF stands for ultraviolet protection factor. It tells you how much UV radiation a fabric lets through to reach your skin. It covers both UVA rays and UVB rays. UPF 50+ rating is designated as 'excellent'. How is UPF different to SPF? UPF is used as a rating for clothing and accessories, whereas SPF is a rating for sunscreen and lotions. We always recommend using a combination of a rash guard and SPF to provide the best possible sun protection.

General Washing Tips for Rash guards:
1. Rinse with fresh water after use. Sea water, sand, suncream and other impurities may damage the fabric and cause colour fading. Dry flat or hung (do not leave twisted/wringed after rinse or washing).
2. Avoid contact with tanning oil – this type of oil contains ingredients that can cause damage to the fabric. If contact occurs, please wash rashie thoroughly.
3. Rinse or wash after use. Do not leave wet rashie in a bag over a long period of time, which can result in discoloration.
4. Hand wash or use gentle/delicate cycle machine wash to avoid shrinkage.
5. Use a mild detergent - do not use a bleach cleaner, which can impact the UPF effectiveness and colour.
6. Do not tumble dry.
7. Note that use on water slides can result in damaged fibres and pilling.
