THE ART OF RE-PURPOSING OCEAN PLASTICS INTO NAT GEO WEAR HANGERS
We often talk of innovation, science and exploration as the core pillars of everything we stand for. At Nat Geo Wear, we aim to incorporate these three pillars in our retail practices.
One of the key organisations we have worked with is Arch & Hook, adopting their BLUEWAVE® technology for our retail store hangers. The BLUEWAVE® a thermoplastic material and a globally certified plastic solution.
This is why we love our BLUEWAVE® hangers:
MADE FROM 100% RECYCLED MATERIALS
Our hangers are made from 100% recycled plastic, marine plastic and recycled post-consumer plastic. These materials are collected, sorted, separated, shredded, transported, and prepared as a new raw material suitable for making BLUEWAVE® hangers.
PROTECTING OUR OCEANS AND MARINE LIFE
The plastic used in BLUEWAVE® hangers is collected predominantly from four of the most polluting rivers in the world, intercepting its journey to our precious oceans and helping to protect our marine life.
FULLY CIRCULAR
Creating something from recycled materials is a start, however ensuring that the product can be used, recycled and reused at the end of its lifespan is what makes a product truly circular. BLUEWAVE® hangers can be recycled to make new hangers, through Arch & Hook's innovative manufacturing techniques, meaning there is no need for any new, virgin materials, and our natural resources are protected.
